Obama Administration Issues New Emission Standards For Trucks
The White House issued new rules for heavy vehicles like "tractor-trailers, buses, delivery vans, heavy pickup trucks, cement mixers." They will have to reduce fuel consumption and Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 10 to 20 percent, depending on the type of truck, over the next eight years. The rules were issued by the Environmental Protection Agency, and they don't need Congressional approval, which is good for Obama because Republicans have a tendency to not believe in man-made Global Warming....

It's Time for a "Telecom Act" for Clean Energy
In 1973, Motorola demonstrated the world's first cell phone, weighing in at close to four and a half pounds[1]. It was not introduced into the U.S. until 1983, and after slow growth at first, over the course of just ten years from 1997 to 2007 the total number of Mobile Phone subscriptions jumped from reaching 8% of Global population to serving nearly half of all the world's inhabitants. By the close of 2009, the number of cellular phone users had grown still further to 4.6 Billion in a world...

James Cameron: a bully and a gigantic hypocrite
Director James Cameron is out to save the planet . If you are skeptical of the claims of the alarmists that Man is destroying the planet via Greenhouse Gas Emissions, he calls you a denier who has your head up your backside . He’d like to have a “shootout” with you, except that, when taken up on the offer, he suddenly has other things to do…
Anyway, wouldn’t you expect that, being a good little cultist of the Church of Anthropogenic Global Warming, he’d try...

Americans for Prosperity lies: "We're not arguing the science of climate change"
The latest mantra of the anti-science, pro-pollution Extremists is, “Were not arguing the Science of Climate Change.” They do this so they can dispute the charge of “denier” to the media, but then they immediately turn around and start arguing the Science of Climate Change. Brad Johnson rips away the curtain cloaking the Tea Party puppeteers at Americans for Prosperity.

“Space Tourism to accelerate Climate Change” screams this Nature.com article that Matt Drudge links to — but then, doesn’t everything?
Climate Change caused by black Carbon, also known as soot, emitted during a decade of commercial Space flight would be comparable to that from current Global aviation, researchers estimate.
The findings, reported in a paper in Press in Geophysical Research Letters

Big Methane Biogas Blowout Planned for U.S. Farmers
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Agriculture are teaming up to help farmers invest in Methane biogas recovery , to the tune of $3.9 million over the next five years. The new funds represent a big push for a rapidly growing trend that enables farmers to reclaim a Renewable Energy resource, cut their utility costs, and take a big chunk out of their Greenhouse Gas Emissions. The new partnership aims to expand the existing AgStar program for reducing Methane...

EPA head: New carbon controls on big trucks and buses 'win for planet'
The Obama Administration on Monday continued its push to reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Vehicles, proposing the first-ever Emissions limits for medium- and heavy-duty trucks and buses.
The joint requirement from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) would require a 20 percent cut in Emissions and fuel use from long-haul tractor-trailer trucks for model years 2014 to 2018.
This will be a win-win-win, for reducing oil...

Trucking-industry groups are giving favorable initial reaction to the Obama Administrations first-time proposed Greenhouse Gas and Fuel Efficiency requirements for medium- and heavy-duty Vehicles amid merely lukewarm support from Environmental groups.
While industry groups are still reviewing the proposed performance standards unveiled Monday from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), they match up well with industry...
