The rules were issued by the Environmental Protection Agency, and they don't need Congressional approval, which is good for Obama because Republicans have a tendency to not believe in man-made Global Warming....

James Cameron: a bully and a gigantic hypocrite
Director James Cameron is out to save the planet . If you are skeptical of the claims of the alarmists that Man is destroying the planet via Greenhouse Gas Emissions, he calls you a denier who has your head up your backside . He’d like to have a “shootout” with you, except that, when taken up on the offer, he suddenly has other things to do…
Anyway, wouldn’t you expect that, being a good little cultist of the Church of Anthropogenic Global Warming, he’d try...

The Obama Administration on Monday continued its push to reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Vehicles, proposing the first-ever Emissions limits for medium- and heavy-duty trucks and buses.
The joint requirement from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) would require a 20 percent cut in Emissions and fuel use from long-haul tractor-trailer trucks for model years 2014 to 2018.
This will be a win-win-win, for reducing oil...

Today, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson and I proposed the first national standards for Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Fuel Efficiency for medium and heavy-duty trucks, vans, and buses.
This is a historic first step to address categories of vehicles previously excluded from America's corporate average Fuel economy guidelines. Currently, the vehicles we propose covering account for 20% of the transportation sector's...

Hawaii Representative Crafting ‘Environmentally Responsible’ Plan That Would Endanger His State
It seems that Rep. Neil Abercrombie (D-HI) is crafting a plan that could lead to the inundation of Hawaii’s beaches, the extinction of its Species, and the destruction of its Water Supply. Abercrombie and John Peterson (R-PA) are creating a “working group” to establish a “ comprehensive, environmentally responsible energy plan ,” whose members will be...
It's Time for a "Telecom Act" for Clean Energy
In 1973, Motorola demonstrated the world's first cell phone, weighing in at close to four and a half pounds[1]. It was not introduced into the U.S. until 1983, and after slow growth at first, over the course of just ten years from 1997 to 2007 the total number of Mobile Phone subscriptions jumped from reaching 8% of Global population to serving nearly half of all the world's inhabitants. By the close of 2009, the number of cellular phone users had grown still further to 4.6 Billion in a world...

A literary sighting today at the White House.
Jonathan Franzen, whose novel Freedom has won praise from President Obama and made the various best-seller lists, was spotted leaving the White House by our pal Jake Tapper of ABC News .
When Jake asked Franzen how his meeting with the president, Franzen replied: "Delightful."
Obama received an early copy of Freedom during his August Vacation on Martha's Vineyard, Mass. The novel deals with a Midwestern family coping with the upheavals of the...

Ken Buck would let climate change ruin Colorado and unilaterally disarm its clean energy leadership
Tea Party favorite and would-be GOP Senator from Colorado, Ken Buck, has burst into the National scene with his Climate denial (see Buck embraces Inhofe: Global Warming is the greatest Hoax ).
Sure a study by the Aspen Global Change Institute forecasts that if Global Carbon Emissions continue to rise at their current pace, Aspen could warm by some 14 degrees by century’s end giving it a feel similar to Amarillo, TX. Hey, there will always be hiking!
And sure another ...
The Green Cost of The New Great Game
In 2007, James Graff wrote a cover story for TIME that looked at the new "great game" developing in the Arctic. Global Warming is melting the Arctic ice cap, opening a scramble for control of a short passage between Asia and Europe. But now a new study has underlined how the new great game may come with a high ecological cost. Writing in the journal Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics , a U.S. and Canadian research team found that increasing Arctic ship traffic will bring with it Pollution...
Gore Hits the Waves with a Massive New Houseboat
Former Vice President Al Gore, the Nobel-winning self-proclaimed Global prophet of green, has made a lot of money from the so-called “crisis” of Global Warming. He has profited from best-selling books that tout the looming climatic catastrophe, won an Academy Award for a movie about his slideshow presentation that focuses on his “sky is falling” message about a world on the brink of Environmental Disaster. His business interests have been focused on the profit side of the...
Sierra Club survey finds wide range in fees cities charge for solar installations
"Some cities are charging way over what we determine to be the maximum cost-recovery level," said Kurt Newick, chairman of the Global Warming and Energy Committee of the Sierra Club's Loma Prieta chapter, based in Palo Alto. "We'd like to see the cities come up with a reasonable fee that covers their cost." Clay Holstine, the city manager of Brisbane, defended the city's fee schedule and said the Sierra Club is wrongly assuming that fees alone are scaring away potential solar projects. "We...
What Will the Climate Climb-Down Look Like?
Heres something that you can bring to the bank: With regard to Global Warming, the major purveyors of news in the industrialized world will be climbing down from their various versions of frenzied alarmism. Heres something else that you can bring to your Banker: the climb-down will be sneaky. On the other hand, when the series of editorial re-positionings is visible to casual members of the public at all, it will be beyond awkward. How do I know? Because the process has already...
Sensitivity Training: Determining the Correct Climate Sensitivity
There are many times when I am putting together articles that I need to compare the results of my research to the models of the theory of Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW). In this manner I can contrast the results and predictions directly. This way I understand how the different views relate to each other. Recently I was trying to find the total amount of energy (forcing) that the warmists claim CO2 is responsible for in the atmosphere. The reason I wanted this is because I have...
