Health Care: Rep.
Fred Upton (R-MI) told Fox News that House Republicans have enough votes to Repeal the Health Care law.
Said Upton: "As part of our pledge we said that we would bring up a vote to Repeal Health Care early. That will happen before the president's State of the Union address. We have 242 Republicans. There will be a significant number of Democrats, I think, that will join us. You will remember when that vote passed in the House, last March; it only passed by seven votes." Republicans don't ex...
Repealing the Job- Killing Health Care Law Act

That is the title to the GOP bill to Repeal the Democrats rationed Health Care law. It is only two pages and one of those is the title page. It can be found here.
Some Democrats still back the Job-Killing Health Care Law and have threatened to kill the bill in the Senate. It is possible they may have to Filibuster since there will be some vulnerable Democrats who will be ready to run away from the mess. It may give Democrats an early opportunity to rue their ...
Report: At least one Dem likely to vote for repeal
At least one Democrat who voted against the Healthcare Reform law will likely vote for Repeal next week, according to a report.
Rep. Dan Boren (D-Okla.), one of 34 House Democrats who voted against the reform law, told Fox News he would likely vote for repeal.
“I have not read the language yet, but I am inclined to support the repeal,” Boren told Fox on Monday.
After months of promising a Repeal vote, Republicans unveiled a two-page bill Monday night to undo the entire reform law. A proce...
What does Pres Obama think about Repub bill posted on line to repeal health care bill?
He said he expects Republicans to “to play to their base for a certain period of time,” but hopes to build on lame-duck success to build The Economy and create jobs. AF1 was wheels up at 9:47pm (2:47am Eastern), and within five minutes, President Obama made a surprise visit to the press cabin to wish the pool a Happy New Year. “I hope you guys had a little fun,” he said. POTUS shook everyone’s hand in the cabin and chatted briefly. “I am a plain shave ice guy,...
Health Care Melodrama
If the incoming Republican leadership in the House of Representatives is serious about trying to Repeal Health Care reform, there’s only one appropriate Democratic response: “Make my day.” Just to be clear, there’s no earthly chance that a bill repealing the landmark Health Care overhaul could actually make it through Congress and be signed into law. Even if Republicans managed to hold together their new majority in the House, they would face the inconvenient fact that De...
Peter King calls for 'intelligent debate'
Rep. Peter King says that Republicans must have an “intelligent debate” over their opposition to the Health Care reform law and other policies backed by President Barack Obama, rather than stonewalling Democrats without discussion for the next two years.
A frequent Obama critic, the New York Republican said that his party must use substantive arguments to push back against the president. “Republicans have to conduct an intelligent debate, we have to show we're not just again...
My Question for Speaker Boehner
As you've probably heard by now, one of the first orders of business for the new Republican Congress will be debating and then, presumably, passing a bill repealing the Affordable Care Act. The media is playing this as a pointless stunt, because the Senate would never pass it and President Obama would never sign it. This seems unfair to me. Repeal of Health Care is among the very top priorities for these Republicans. Passing such a bill has important symbolic value.
But precisely because I do t...
Republicans target US health bill
Republican leaders have begun a bid to overturn the healthcare law signed by US President Barack Obama in 2010. A bill to Repeal the landmark law was formally unveiled on Monday evening, two days before Republicans assume control of the lower house of Congress. It is set to be voted on by the House of Representatives on 12 January. But he vote is expected to be largely symbolic as Democrats retain a Senate majority and can block the move and the president could ultimately Veto it. The Republican...
Republicans come to town for a fight
WASHINGTON: Republicans are to flex their newfound political muscle within days of the swearing in of the 112th Congress, promising a vote within a week on the Repeal of Barack Obama's historic Healthcare Reform. The move signifies a bold challenge to the President's legislative agenda and threatens to dash hopes for a renewed spirit of Bipartisanship in Washington. Republicans dominate the new House of Representatives (242 members to 193), so the vote for Repeal is expected to succeed in that c...
No More Mister Nice Blog
OH YES, LET'S ENDURE 2009 AND 2010 AGAIN
You know that the House Republicans are going to vote on Repeal of Health Care reform next week, and you may also know that Democrats want to fight back:

Vacation over, Obama set to face emboldened GOP
Honolulu—After two weeks out of the spotlight, President Barack Obama is returning to Washington to face an emboldened Republican Party and the first major shake-up of his senior staff.
The first weeks of the new year will be an early test of how the president will deal with a divided Congress and whether he can build on the victories he secured during the final days of the lame-duck legislative session. And with a host of Republicans readying to run for his job, the administration will s...
Washington Week
Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., is considering canceling the results of the November Elections by changing the Senate rules when senators conduct their opening day procedures Wednesday. The change in the Senate rules will be used in an effort to reduce the number of senators needed to invoke Cloture (limit debate). The Cloture rule, Rule 22, requires 60 votes to limit debate in the Senate. Efforts in the Senate Rules Committee last year, led by Sen. Schumer, D-N.Y., and Sen. Udall, D-Co...

"That will happen before the president's State of the Union address." You must login to comment. The Fox Nation is for those opposed to into...
'Why is government doing this?'
Image by Getty Images via @daylife
Washington Times:
With Congress split this year between Republicans and Democrats, the GOP may not be able to pass much of its Repeal agenda, but it still expects to play a major role in shaping government through hearings and investigations into much of what the Obama Administration has done.
Republican committee chairmen say they're eager to get to work on dissecting government operations and, as one incoming chairman said, pushing lawmakers to ask basic qu...
Rep. Darryl Issa: Pigford Will Be Investigated
When Darryl Issa released to the press the investigations he plans to undertake ASAP, there was a bit of an uproar over what was missing from the list. Gateway Pundit Jim Hoft caught up with Rep. Issa to ask for clarification. Issa told Hoft that his resources are limited and he released the first six, but it could have been 60 or 600. (He has a point.) He also stated that Rep. Lamar Smith will investigate the Pigford Scandal through the Judiciary Committee.

New year, new them
House Republicans have a First Handful of Days strategy:
Soon after the 112th Congress convenes Wednesday, Republicans in the House plan to make good on a campaign promise that helped vault many new members to victory: voting to Repeal President Barack Obama’s Health Care overhaul. The vote, which Republican leaders pledged would occur before the president’s State of the Union address later this month, is intended both to appeal to the tea party-influenced factions of the House GOP ba...
Quick, repeal health care reform before
The new session of Congress doesn’t start until Wednesday, but Republicans have already scheduled a vote on January 12th to Repeal Obama’s Health Care Reform Bill. Of course, this is a complete waste of time and money, since Democrats still control the Senate, and even if they didn’t, Obama would surely Veto any any attempt to Repeal health care. I expect that the Republicans will continue to rattle their sabers at Health Care reform, including trying to cut off funding for it,...
Pelosi Says We Cant Repeal ObamaCare Because It Doesnt Create Jobs, Reduce Deficit
“As we begin the 112th Congress, the number one priority of House Democrats will continue to be putting Americans to work. Each new proposal will be measured by a simple test: does it create jobs? Does it strengthen America’s Middle Class? And does it reduce the Deficit? When our Republican colleagues put forward solutions to the problems facing Americans that meet these tests, they will find in Democrats a willing partner. “Instead of joining Democrats in our efforts for job c...
House GOP Sending Obama A Message On Health Repeal
The House's new Republican majority plans to vote to Repeal Barack Obama's landmark Health Care overhaul before he even shows up in their chamber to give his State of the Union address.
Dramatic as that early showdown promises to be — the vote will be Jan. 12, Republicans said Monday — it will be just the first in a series of struggles expected to play out in the next few months. Obama returns Tuesday from his holiday Vacation, fresh off lame-duck legislative victories late last year...
Republicans lie in wait for returning Obama
Obama will return from holiday a day before Republicans formally take possession of the House of Representatives on Wednesday after their November mid-term election victory ushered in a new era of divided government in the US capital. An enthused freshman class of conservative lawmakers is streaming to Washington convinced that voters gave them a mandate to rein in Obama's presidency, slash Government Spending and Repeal the historic Democratic Health Care law. Obama said he expected Republicans...

Obama: Republicans will "Play to their Base"
President Barack Obama arrives at Hickam Air Force base in Honolulu, Hawaii, Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, for the his holiday Vacation. President Obama is starting off the new year with a clear-eyed assessment of the opposition he'll face from Congress this year. Fresh from a nearly two-week vacation in Hawaii, Mr. Obama told reporters aboard a Washington-bound Air Force One last night that he expects Republicans "to play to their base for a certain period of time." Indeed, one of the first acts o...
Yes, Obama Will Skirt Congress to Enact His Agenda
This isn’t exactly new news, but plenty of people were probably busy over the holidays and may not be aware of what President Obama has in store for us. He’s calling on Congress to be Bipartisan and work with him. But he’s not taking his own advice.
President Obama challenged congressional Republicans to embrace the “shared responsibility” of governance even as the White House appears ready to use unilateral executive powers to battle Capitol Hill. With Republica...
Obama Exhorts Republicans to Put Politics Aside
(Air Force ONE) Ending a two-week Vacation, President Barack Obama is appealing to newly-empowered Republicans to resist jockeying for the White House in 2012 and work with him to get The Economy growing and the jobless back to work.
Facing anything but a political soft landing after his holiday stay in Hawaii, Obama told reporters en route to the capital Tuesday that he understands Republicans, who recaptured the House in last fall's Elections, "are going to play to their base for a c...
Rep. Chaffetz Embraces "Death Panels"
You might've thought the phony issue of "Death Panels" — the trumped-up Controversy over provisions to pay doctors for providing end-of-life counseling — was over, but Republicans have wasted no time stirring up the furor again in the lead-up to their planned show vote on repealing the Affordable Care Act. Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) joined the fray when he tacitly endorsed Fox News host Andrew Napolitano's characterization of the "Death Panels" returning at the hand of a "Socialist" ...
