Democrats received an electoral drubbing in November because they lacked the courage to defend their Healthcare Reform Legislation, according to Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell (D).
The legislation was rarely mentioned by Democrats on the Campaign Trail. Even popular provisions such as one that required members of Congress to buy the same Health Insurance available to other Americans weren't widely talked about.
Speaking to Democrats in Omaha on Wednesday, Rendell said members should have been pr...

Quite possibly the most idiotic government program to date: let's help illegal aliens cross the boder.
This is quite possibly the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my entire life. CALEXICO, Calif. - A government agency on the front lines of the Immigration debate has begun installing lifesaving buoys in a fast-moving canal along the U.S.-Mexico border where migrants drown each year as they sneak into the country illegally. The debate over the lifelines has long presented authorities with a moral dilemma: Is it acceptable to do nothing when so many immigrants are dying in the water? Or do...

Where all the Defeated Dems Go
In this past November’s election, the people of the Philadelphia suburbs spoke, and so did the rest of the state and country. All in a similar voice showing their collective displeasures with elected officials, particularly Democrats. So with many formerly elected Democrats now out of a job, one wonders, where do they all go? Some of these Democrats, with their political “heydays” far behind them, have moved on from public service and found vocations elsewhere...

Friday Morning Coffee: It's A Snow Day.
Good Friday Morning, Fellow Seekers.
Well, it took her a while, but Mother Nature finally got around to dumping a light coating snow on our Commonwealth's seat of government.
Schools were delayed. Traffic was snarled. But undeterred, we called upon our New England upbringing, threw a couple of extra copies of "Going Rogue" on the wood stove, strapped on our mukluks, hitched up the dogsled and set out for Capitol Ideas World HQ with nary a backwards glance.
And just like a certa...

Offering no real clues on the future direction of Monetary Policy, Bernanke sounded cautiously more upbeat than he had in his most recent public remarks. He cited improvements in Consumer Spending and a drop in jobless be...

Tom Coughlin Lets His Critics Know Where They Can Kiss Him
We all know that Tom Coughlin is a man who sometimes lets his emotions get the best of him.
Thanks to the cameras that NFL broadcasters keep trained on him for 60 Minutes every Sunday, the world has seen Coughlin overreacting like a madman to everything that happens on the field of play. Arms wave, cheeks get red and the occasional punter gets reamed out by a man who rarely seems to be anything short of apoplectic.
When he's standing in front of the media, however, Coughlin is a very different c...
