Larry King Sings And Dances On The Early Show
On The Early Show, soon-to-be new co-host Erica Hill interviewed Larry King who danced, sang, and recited strange poetry to Hill’s amused bewilderment. Hill told viewers “For the first time in 53 years, Larry King is without a radio or TV program to host.” Who could have guessed Hill’s seemingly innocuous introduction was truly a viewer warning, since King (who just ended his CNN show) apparently doesn’t know what to do with himself trying everything from a surpris...
Longtime anchor and reporter Barbara West leaving WFTV
After 24 years on the air at WFTV-Channel 9, anchor-reporter Barbara West's final day at the station will be Dec. 29.
News director Bob Jordan said West and the station "had reached the decision mutually" on her departure. She did not return a phone call seeking comment Tuesday.
"She's an excellent communicator," Jordan said. "That's a very tall bar. I've worked with a lot of anchors around the country. She's one of the best."
Added General Manager Shawn Bartelt: "I think Barbara has had a long...
Larry King Doesnt Take Viagra And Other Fun Facts From Tonight Show Turn As Standup Comic
Former CNN host Larry King, who just last week promised on his final show not to go away, stayed true to his word appearing on Jay Leno’s The Tonight Show last night and launched a possible new career as a stand-up comic. Leno introduced the crowd to the “bright young comedy stylings of Larry King” and King jumped up with microphone in hand and delivered humorous stories (note to comedy bookers: King doesn’t do jokes).
Even funnier than those stories was when King was si...
Larry King says President Obama has shown no passion as President ...
If I taught in a journalism school, I would replay the interview linked below. It is a Radio Interview of Larry King by Charles Feldman (former CNN correspondent.) It gives you a taste of the behind the scenes of Cable News and Larry truly is a giant in the business. No one has come close to doing what he has done in Cable News -- he is like Brett Favre and the 297 straight starts. In the interview Larry talks about President Obama and President Clinton but he also tells ...
Larry King's Favorite Guests (AUDIO)
Larry King did an interview with Los Angeles Journalist (and Huffington Post blogger) Charles Feldman a few days before the final episode of "Larry King Live," which ends tonight after 25 years on the air. In it, King revealed that his favorite guests to talk to were architects--because, he said, they were all firm decision makers with strong opinions and healthy egos.
Below, hear the entertaining interview, where King also discusses his reasons for leaving, which president he most enjoyed int...
Larry King: No Viagra For Me! (VIDEO)
Larry King finished up on "Larry King Live" Thursday night, and by Monday was sitting down with Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show."
King, who has said he aspires to a standup comedy career now that his CNN show is done, performed a routine on the show, but his funniest line may have come when discussing his Children.
When pressed by Leno on the age difference between his children, King said his oldest child is 55 and his youngest child is 10.
"Without Viagra, 10," the 77-year-old said.

The last of 'Larry King Live'
Say what you will about Larry King — that he's a shameless softballer, that he's a selective listener, that he may not always understand who he's talking to and what they're saying — you have to admit the man has stamina. Even as his body seems to shrivel and his concentration appears to wane, he's been showing up for "Larry King Live," his five-nights-a-week, hourlong CNN interview program, for 25 years. Throughout it all — and, indeed, throughout his whole career, which began...

As Katie Couric considers options, she should think about recapturing her morning glory
With less than six months before her current contract expires, speculation is heating up on whether Katie Couric will sign a new deal to keep anchoring the "CBS Evening News" or move on.
There probably will be no shortage of choices for Couric if she decides that she wants out of the nightly news game. CNN would surely jump at the chance to land her, and MSNBC would probably give her a long look too. Then there's daytime television. Syndication companies, including the one owned ...

Dear Santa: Todd English's Holiday Give and Get List ~ Culture ~ The Inside Source
While Chef Todd English started out unassumingly in Charlestown, MA (yes, of Ben Affleck’s The Town fame) back in 1989 at a still-standing restaurant called Olive’s, these days he’s more about Big Business and chef celebrity—along with the art of cooking in the kitchen. Chef Todd English, a Culinary Institute of America- and La Côte Basque- trained chef and four-time James Beard Award winner is undeniably a powerhouse. Though he is credited locally with bringing sop...

Bad Hair Day Leads to Holiday Hat
WETA’s “White House Chronicle” was a series of delights on Sunday morning. One of which was that Co-host and General Manager Linda Gasparello , sidekick to the main dish Llewellyn King , had donned a red hat. “I’ve been trying to get her to wear a hat for 14 years,” King mused at the beginning of the show. Later in the 30-minute program we learn the real reason that Gasparello is wearing a hat: A bad hair day, she says. King scolds her for admitting this, sayi...

MSNBC Takes Great Delight In Crushing CNN, Chooses To Ignore Being Beaten By Fox
MSNBC hosts talk a lot about Fox News on the air. Off camera, MSNBC’s PR folks would really rather talk about CNN-as in, “MSNBC Beats CNN for the Second Year in a Row.”
When it comes to MSNBC’s year-end Ratings news release, it’s all about poor pathetic CNN, and there’s absolutely no mention of Cable News Ratings powerhouse FOX. Fox News, you say? Hmmm…not ringing a bell, have to check the records. Did I mention we crushed CNN, just crushed them?

Larry King to Streisand: Why Do 'Right-Winger Radio Hosts' Pick on You? “I was at – forgive the expression – a Christmas Party,” NPR reporter Nina Totenberg interjected on Inside Washington in the weekend’s oddest cautionary separation from a common description for a common event, seemingly embarrassed to invoke any religious terminology for Christmas. She didn’t say what she’d prefer for parties this time of the year to be named. “Winte...
NBC's late-night fiasco tops 2010's stories
What began as a grand, highly promoted experiment in late-night, ended in a fiasco that made NBC a laughing stock and captivated the country. In January 2010, NBC sought to displace their newly crowned "Tonight Show" host, Conan O'Brien, by restoring Jay Leno to 11:35 p.m. O'Brien, however, didn't go for the 30 minute shift, and the fallout made for one of the most public debacles in network history. Allegiances were drawn, with many supporting "Team CoCo." In the end, O'Brien left with an enorm...
