It wasnt just The Economy, or at least not the local economy.
Earlier this week, Real Time Economics noted that Democrats were more at risk in Districts that performed better economically than those that performed worse. The election results bore that out.
Of the 25 Congressional Districts hit hardest by the Recessionmeasured by joblessness, Poverty Rates and housing Prices16 are currently represented by Democrats. Fourteen of them won Reelection despite the Republican tide.
