Border Patrol: Gunmen that authorities say target Illegal Immigrants moving through Mexico into Arizona reportedly killed a Border Patrol agent in southern Arizona a few miles from the international Border.

Four of the five shooters had been arrested, according to federal authorities, and a manhunt was on for the fifth suspect.

Brian Terry, the agent, had received special search and rescue training and was a former member of the Military.

He was part of a four-person team operating outside of Nogales, according to USA Today. "This is a sign that the politicians and Bureaucrats are overly optimistic in their assessment that the Borders are more secure now than at any point in our history.

It showed just the opposite," Border Patrol Council head T.J. Bonner said.

The Border Patrol is assisting the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the local County Sheriff's office, but officials note that the area is a hotbed of Illegal activity that will continue after Terry's death.
