Border Patrol: Gunmen that authorities say target Illegal Immigrants moving through Mexico into Arizona reportedly killed a Border Patrol agent in southern Arizona a few miles from the international Border.
Four of the five shooters had been arrested, according to federal authorities, and a manhunt was on for the fifth suspect.
Brian Terry, the agent, had received special search and rescue training and was a former member of the Military.
He was part of a four-person team operating outside of Nogales, according to USA Today. "This is a sign that the politicians and Bureaucrats are overly optimistic in their assessment that the Borders are more secure now than at any point in our history.
It showed just the opposite," Border Patrol Council head T.J. Bonner said.
The Border Patrol is assisting the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the local County Sheriff's office, but officials note that the area is a hotbed of Illegal activity that will continue after Terry's death.

Bob Dylan EXPERT: Dylan’s Aloofness Toward Obama Is Because of Racism. Yeah, what else could it be?
Obama cries: 'Even I couldn't impress Bob Dylan'
Well, so much for ‘the times they area’changin’. Hats off to Dylan. Our poor narcissistic Prez, oh, the wound, the pain. Perfect. Better start getting useto it. Bob Dylan remains splendidly reluctant to embrace efforts to turn him into part of the fusty establishment he once railed against. That, at least, is the experience of President Barack Obama, who has revealed that he was given what amounts to the bum’s rush by the musician when he visited the White House...

Excerpt from David Kahane’s Rules for Radical Conservatives: Party Like It’s 1980
Look, I have to admit theres nothing wrong with either the conservative or Republican Base. Frankly, you guys terrify us, you and your damn fascist Tea Parties. Is there anything more frightening than seas of grandmothers waving American Flags and singing patriotic songs? I dont Think so. But the bozos driving your clown car need a complete upgrading in order to meet the new challenges of the twenty- first century, and one that the current crop of leaders is simply not up to....

Dwight Was Right
It matters not whom we elect. The Pentagon and the Military contractors
call the shots. The title "Commander in Chief" is ceremonial, like
"Employee of the Month" at your local Burger King.
Everything you need to know can be found in just two paragraphs from Obama's War .
Here's the scene: Obama is meeting with his National Security Council

A Big Fool Says to Push On
On the eve of the beginning of the tenth year (October 7) of the U.S War in Afghanistan, Bob Woodwards new book Obamas War about presidential decision making on the War in Afghanistan is pretty scary reading. It sounds to me like folk singer Peter Seegers song about the Vietnam War Waist Deep in the Big Muddy, describes the U.S. War in Afghanistan. The song Waist Deep in the Big Muddy, tells about an Army platoon slogging through a Louisiana river during field...
Cindy Sheehan to protest Obama in Martha's Vineyard next week
Sheehan first made headlines in 2005, when she began camping out in front of President George W. Bush s ranch in Crawford, Texas. At first, Sheehan said she simply wanted a meeting with Bush to discuss the death of her son Casey, a U.S. Army soldier killed in Iraq. Sheehan wasn't particularly telegenic or articulate. However, a moribund Mainstream Media desperate to relive the "glory" days of anti-Vietnam War Protests showered her with attention, and Sheehan dutifully reinvented herself as...
Daily Kos: President Obama Extends Stop-Loss Benefits
A week ago, Vietnam Veteran DaNang65 wrote this amazing diary about his efforts to educate his fellow Veterans about the important monetary benefits available to those who were stop-lossed.
In that diary, he cautioned his fellow Veterans that the time to apply for those benefits was set to end on October 21.
Today, President Obama extended that deadline to December 3rd.
Is this important? It sure is.
Rahm Emanuel: These Are The Toughest Times Any President Has Ever Faced
Rahm Emmanuel took his leave today as White House Chief of Staff to begin his campaign for Mayor of Chicago (a position he may not be eligible for by the by).
He couldn't resist one of the Obama Administration's patented overstatements .
Obama, he said, is "the toughest leader any country could ask for, in the toughest times any president has ever faced."
I'm in my (dear God how did this happen?) early, very early 40's and I'm not convinced these are the toughest time of my life. I was a...
Yonatan Shapira, a moral giant
Anyone who has had the good fortune to meet Yonatan Shapira will be particularly sickened at the reports that he was tasered in the heart and left screaming after he and the others on the Jewish boat to Gaza were stopped illegally. In person, Yonatan is friendly, likeable, and genuinely considerate of the opinions of others who do not agree with him.
Yonatan Shapira is also a moral giant. He is the Israeli pilot who condemned his own Air Force...
Blackwater Seeps Into the Campaign
Her position is a welcome development for those in the Congress, such as Illinois Democratic Representative Jan Schakowsky and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders , who have long sought to rein in private security contractors. In her Speech, Clinton slammed Obama on this issue, saying, "Senator Obama and I have a substantive disagreement here. He won't rule out continuing to use armed private Military contractors in Iraq to do jobs that historically have been done by the US Military or government...
The Mullahs Mouthpiece in Washington?
“Throughout the recent crisis,” the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) announced last week, “NIAC has been in contact with the White House almost daily to convey the views of our community, and policymakers have been listening.” It “strongly condemned the crackdown” in Iran “and called for new Elections as the best way to end the violence.” It has also called upon the mullahs to “immediately release opposition figures, Human Rights...
A Specter Is Haunting the Pentagon
According to Bob Woodwards direct citation of his 2009 remarks to a group that included President Karzai and Hilary Rodham Clinton, Defense Secretary Gates announced emphatically that, Were not leaving Afghanistan prematurely. In fact, were not ever leaving at all.
And what role will the Congress, the president, and the people have in this momentous decision? None. In fact, War Party lead drummer Charles Krauthammer considers the guy who is supposed to be Gatess elected...
Brazilians voting for new president, leader Silva hoping to elect successor for victory lap
Sao Paulo

"He is the man who turned our dreams into reality!" the host screams into the night, his words ringing in the ears of 10,000 People at the last election rally the leader would attend. "President. Luiz. Inacio. Lula. Da Silvaaaaaaaaaa!"
The crowd goes wild on cue,...

Clinton, Obama Tussle Over Blackwater (Updated)
Just as Blackwater had finally fallen from the headlines and the boys in Moyock thought their State Department contract would be quietly renewed, their worst nightmare has hit: Blackwater is a Campaign issue. In an ironic twist of politics, Blackwater head honcho Erik Prince is now on the same side of the contractor issue as Senator Barack Obama — more or less.
Senator Hillary Clinton broke her longstanding silence on private Security contractors in Iraq. Her...
Comparisons Between Lincoln and Barack Hussein Obama
I'm sure most of us have read the comparisons between Lincoln and Kennedy, but did you ever consider the relationship between Obama and Lincoln? You might be surprised.
Parallels of Abraham Lincoln and B. H. Obama:
1. Lincoln placed his hand on The Bible for his inauguration. Obama
used the same Bible.
2. Lincoln came from Illinois . Obama comes from Illinois .
3. Lincoln served in the Illinois Legislature. Obama served in the
Illinois Legislature.
4. Lincoln had very little experience before...
Duty, valor and a terrifying firefight
U.S. Special Forces along the Kunar River in mountainous northeast Afghanistan had learned that Insurgents were running a Military compound nearby. Rob Miller, a weapons specialist from Wheaton, was going to help knock it out.
The official objective of his team's patrol on Jan. 25, 2008, was "to confirm or deny enemy activity." But the team — the eight Special Forces guys and 10 to 15 Afghan National Army Soldiers — expected a nasty firefight at the very least.
"If I get killed on...
Even I couldn't impress Bob Dylan, Obama admits
Most of his contemporaries have mellowed with age, but as he approaches his 70th birthday, Bob Dylan remains splendidly reluctant to embrace efforts to turn him into part of the fusty establishment he once railed against.
